Whatever you want to label it, the question is; Why is this so bad? They are just letters of the alphabet put in a certain order and somehow the sounds that they make are unacceptable in parts of our society. It really is puzzling that these words were even thought of. Who was it? Who thought of these words that we are not supposed to say? Was it a group of people that hate kids? Were they thinking, "What can we do that will get kids in trouble for centuries? I know lets make up words that they will never be allowed to say!" I really doubt that was how they came about. Now, you can look up the origin of certain words and find out where they came from. But my point is, if they are so bad to say, why do they even exist??? Now I agree that you shouldn't say certain words in the business world because it's "unprofessional." But who decided that they were unprofessional to begin with? Why can't we vote on it every so many years and decide whether these words are bad anymore. This will decide which ones make the naughty list and which ones don't.
What boggles my mind most of all are that there are words that people use instead of the actual so called "bad" word. What's the point of making up a word that is so called less "offensive" when you mean the same thing? Darn! Yeah we know what you mean. Friggin! Yeah, we know what you mean. Crap! Yeah, we know what you mean. Heck! Yeah, WE KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! I could go on and on. These so called "acceptable" words that mean the same thing as the "bad" word should be just as unacceptable because THEY MEAN THE SAME THING! You say them with the same emotion and in the same place in a sentence or phrase that you would place a bad word. So what's the difference? There isn't one is there? Didn't think so.
I don't believe that adults should be anymore allowed to say these words than kids. Yet, most adults use them everyday and then yell at their kids when they repeat them. They are just words, letters of the alphabet that make a certain noise when you put them together.
I will leave you all with one last treat, it's a new bad word that I better not hear any of you ever say. It is the worst one yet. So bad I can't even tell you what it means. The word is salmon. Yup, salmon. It used to be a fish and a pinkish color. Not anymore, because it's bad now...really, really bad.

One that I hear people say is "Shut the front door" seriously... people think that they aren't saying Shut the F**k up when they use that phrase. I cuss, I don't mean too all the time, but I do. I don't use G.D. but everything else slips from time to time. My two older kids know they can't say it, but my 2 year old doesn't. And, she doesn't cuss, not yet anyway, and when she does that's probably when I'll get the wake up call to watch my mouth.
